Welcome! I am so glad you are here! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a PhD in Social Work. I have served for three decades working in acute care mental health settings, serving as a psychotherapist for military and civilian individuals, children and their families.
My extensive clinical experience , serving at risk children and adolescents, alerted me to the dangers facing today's youth. Earning accreditation as a School Suicide Prevention Specialist from the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) certifies me to provide evidence based training to school districts across the nation.
In addition, I am a founding member of the Retrospective Fatality Analyst Consulting group. Our two day virtual training prepares participants for the Retrospective Fatality Analysis (RFA) Certification Process. The RFA Process was developed to be used in a variety of contexts, including: Informing suicide prevention efforts, survivor meaning making, research, legal testimony, equivocal death determinations, and postvention.
I enjoy hiking, skiing, backpacking, mountain biking, and spending time with my family and grandchildren. I am so grateful for the beautiful wilderness of Colorado, and for my dogs!
